Audio Guide System

An audio guide works by playing recorded audio commentary relating to the artworks, monuments or points of interest along a tour route. It may be provided on a dedicated portable device or directly on a smartphone.

During the tour, the user selects the content corresponding to the location or artwork they wish to explore. Depending on the system, the audio can be played by entering a number, selecting a stop on the screen or scanning a QR code.

The visitor then listens to the explanations through headphones or earphones and proceeds at their own pace, independently.

Using an audio guide enriches a visit by providing additional information and explanations about the artworks, monuments or sites you encounter. This enables visitors to gain a better understanding of what they are seeing, whilst remaining free to proceed at their own pace.

Audio guides can be stored, transported and recharged in cases or charging stations specially designed to accommodate several devices at the same time. Each audio guide usually has a dedicated slot which protects it during transport and makes it easy to store after use.

Once the devices have been placed in the charging station or case, several audio guides can be charged simultaneously using a single power supply. Depending on the equipment, indicator lights also allow the charge status of each device to be monitored.

These solutions therefore simplify the storage, transport and day-to-day management of a fleet of audio guides, particularly in museums, tourist attractions and cultural venues.

An audio guide can incorporate various multimedia elements to enhance and facilitate understanding during a tour.

Audio content can also be enhanced with testimonials, multiple voices, music or sound effects to make the tour more immersive. Some multimedia audio guides also offer quizzes, 3D reconstructions or content tailored to different audiences and available in several languages.
