Digital Class "D" Amplifier 500 W EN54-16

Description

The careful design and selection of high-tech and reliable components has led to the PMD range of class "D" digital amplifiers, which are extremely compact and have low power consumption.

The PMD amplifiers are equipped with a diagnostic card for testing the correct functioning and integrity of the loudspeaker line. Connected directly to the CR8506-V controller via CAT5 shielded cable, they allow for high power zones.
Up to 16 PMD units can be cascaded to each of the 6 CR8506-V output lines (zones).
One amplifier can be configured as a backup amplifier for each group. The independent power supply for each amplifier ensures that the system is extremely reliable and complies with safety standards.

Special applications

PMD amplifiers can also be used outside of the PA8500-VES system in situations where a small footprint and high reliability are required.

Protection

In addition to the standard fuse protection, the amplifiers incorporate electronic protection and self-resetting thermal protection to protect against possible damage caused by overloads.

Amplifier Stand

A PMS2001 bracket is required to mount PMD modular amplifiers in a 19" rack.

Connections

The rear panel of the unit has two RJ45 sockets, each of which is paralleled for line level audio connections and serial communication.
Audio inputs 1 and 2 are electronically balanced. The connectors shall be shielded RJ45 type.

A removable terminal block is available for connection to speaker lines and a possible standby amplifier.
